Focus 3 wrist tracker: overview

This wrist tracker works with the standalone VIVE Focus 3. Small, light and shaped like a watch, it can be worn on the wrist or clipped onto objects.

High-frequency IMU data reproduces movement even when your hand leaves the headset cameras' view, and it can track real objects such as a racket or a fire extinguisher for training.

No base stations or cables are needed; at 63 g it is 50% lighter than a standard controller, with about 4 hours of battery and USB-C charging.

How to choose the right VR accessory

Check the exact headset model first. VR accessories are rarely universal: a Quest 3 strap does not fit a Quest 3S facial interface slot, a VIVE Pro link box is different from a VIVE Pro 2 link box, and base stations 1.0 and 2.0 cannot be mixed. For PC VR connections, confirm your graphics card's outputs (DisplayPort, USB-C with DisplayPort, HDMI) and your USB ports before buying cables, link boxes or wireless adapters. Longer cables add freedom of movement but need careful routing to avoid tripping.
