Hard case backpack harness kit: overview

This hard case backpack system (BPS) turns B&W Type 5000–6600 cases into hands-free backpacks for carrying VR equipment.

Padded, adjustable shoulder straps and a waist belt keep it comfortable, and a top handle is added for classic carrying.

Fitting takes about 15 minutes with a size-5 drill bit and a Phillips screwdriver; screws and drilling templates are included.

Choosing a transport case for VR equipment

Measure your kit first. Compare the internal dimensions with your headset, controllers, laptop and accessories, and allow space for foam around each item.

Protection ratings: IP67 means dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion; a pressure-equalisation valve prevents the lid locking shut after flights or altitude changes.

Interior: pick-and-pluck foam gives a custom fit for one kit; padded dividers are easier to rearrange if your equipment changes.

Setup and use

1. Drill 0.5 cm holes below the latches using the templates.
2. Assemble and screw in the fittings.
3. Thread the straps through the holes.
4. Adjust the straps.

Care and maintenance

Keep it clean and dry, store it away from direct sunlight and heat, and inspect it for wear before use. Wipe with a soft, dry microfibre cloth; do not use solvents.

Warranty

Headsets and original accessories bought from our store are covered by a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. If anything goes wrong, email us your order number and a short description or photo and we will handle the claim with you.
