The NexusVolume 25 is a desktop volumetric 3D display that renders your content as millions of points of light in real, physical space. It is not a screen and not a headset. You can walk around the image, see it from every angle and share it with colleagues, customers or students, with no glasses at all.
Who it’s for: Anyone who needs people to understand a 3D object at a glance:

The NexusVolume 25 is a desktop volumetric 3D display that renders your content as millions of points of light in real, physical space. It is not a screen and not a headset. You can walk around the image, see it from every angle and share it with colleagues, customers or students, with no glasses at all.
Compact and bright, it fits on a desk or a plinth in any room. Its cylindrical volume is 25 cm across and 25 cm high, refreshes 30 times per second and holds roughly 7 million light points, so models, characters, scans and data float inside the dome as true 3D objects.
Everything is included: the hardware, a no-code scene studio, plugins for Blender, Unity and Unreal Engine, and an SDK for C, C++ and C#, plus warranty and support. Bring the 3D files you already have and present them the same day.
Real footage of the display running live content: no glasses, viewed from any side.
Anyone who needs people to understand a 3D object at a glance:
A high-speed surface inside the dome sweeps a sequence of LED images through 3D space so fast that persistence of vision builds a solid, walk-around cloud of volumetric pixels: points of light that occupy real physical space. Your PC rasterises an interactive 3D scene in real time into thousands of volume slices, and the ultrafast spatial light modulation system rebuilds that geometry inside the volume. Colour is 4-bit with dithering for extra shades, and overlapping colours blend additively toward white.
Because the image is real light in a real volume rather than a flat screen or a headset, everyone in the room sees it from their own position at the same time.
Images are built from points of light occupying a 25 × 25 cm cylindrical volume. Depth is real, not simulated, so every viewer sees correct perspective from where they stand.
Viewing angles are unlimited: walk all the way round the dome. Any number of people can watch at the same time, which makes it social in a way a headset never is.
No eyewear, no headsets to clean, charge or hand out. Visitors simply walk up and look.
The full volume refreshes 30 times per second for smooth animation and real-time interaction driven by games, sensors or live data.
The volume holds roughly 7 million addressable light points, enough for detailed characters, anatomy, molecules and product models.
A small footprint with a transparent dome over a black base, at home on a desk, a reception counter, a lab bench or a museum plinth.
The included scene studio imports FBX, GLB, glTF, OBJ, STL and PLY models (plus other common 3D formats), so most content is simply drag-and-drop. Position, scale and rotate each model inside the volume, then shape the look with GPU-driven lighting, more than 22 colour filters and 18 geometry filters.
Move a model with the keyboard, mouse or a 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse while the studio records every frame of position, rotation and scale (scene duration × 60 frames). When you stop, overdub mode engages automatically, looper-pedal style: any movement made on the next pass replaces that moment of the take. Axis locks (X, Y, Z) keep a spin on one axis only.
Sequence scenes in a strip, add a music track and per-scene sound effects, set a project-wide scene fade (0.5 s by default, 0 for hard cuts) and present everything as a looped slideshow. A whole project saves to a single JSON-based file you can e-mail, version-control or move between machines.
Once a scene is dialled in, render it to a lossless video file. Playback then runs from the file instead of recomputing the scene every frame, which is lighter at runtime and lets you share a scene without the source model.
CT scans open directly in true 3D through native DICOM support, with no conversion step, for medical imaging and industrial non-destructive testing.
A single actor renders a live Unreal scene to the display in real time. It captures the subject from six orthographic colour + depth cameras (±X, ±Y, ±Z), compacts the result into 3D light points on the GPU with compute shaders and streams them on a background thread. Capture runs in surface mode, keeping Unreal's full lighting. Move and scale the actor to frame the subject, or let it follow a pawn or a specific skeletal bone. Settings include capture resolution (Low / Medium / High), point budget, gamma, sharpness, auto-exposure with EV compensation, boost, per-face toggles and an anti-moiré rotation offset, all saved between sessions. Drive it from Blueprint or C++ (C++ project required, Windows).
Run Unity applications on the display in real time while keeping the engine, the Asset Store and the community you already use. Built for the Built-In Render Pipeline, with the latest Unity 2022 release recommended (Windows). A capture camera turns your scene into a point cloud with depth occlusion and streams it into the volume. Input supports keyboard, mouse, SpaceMouse and up to four joypads, and C# scripts can draw boxes, spheres, lines and text straight into the volume. A launcher runs builds in an efficient headless mode.
Bake any Blender scene through a six-camera rig into a lossless depth-map video (colour of the nearest surface plus 16-bit depth, FFV1 in MKV) and play it back in the studio. Disable faces you do not need for up to a 6× faster bake; EEVEE is recommended and renders far faster than Cycles with no visible difference on the display. Requires ffmpeg.
Go straight to the hardware: draw light points in large batches, lines, spheres, textured quads and text wrapped around the volume, set the motor speed and read the device bounds, dither mode and gamma. Input covers keyboard and 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse (all six axes plus buttons). A ready-to-run C# (.NET 9) Visual Studio template is included, and an on-screen simulator lets you develop and demo without the display attached. Because you own the render loop, you can integrate your own file formats or open scientific libraries and feed them straight into the volume.
Show artefacts, specimens and reconstructions that every visitor sees from their own angle, with no glasses, headsets or queues. Bring digitised collections (lidar, photogrammetry, CT scans that reveal artefact interiors) out of storage, display fragile objects with zero handling risk and swap exhibits in seconds for a rotating programme.
Characters, game worlds and music visuals become a shared object the whole room reacts to: a crowd-stopping centrepiece for arcades, location-based entertainment, brand activations, retail flagships and trade-show stands. Real-time rendering responds live to controllers, motion and audio.
Preview Blender, Unity and Unreal assets in true volume, turn prototypes into tangible, playable pitches and give esports venues a spectator-friendly 3D centrepiece.
Patient education, surgical planning and anatomy teaching with true spatial depth. View CT data directly via DICOM, and use the SDK to add volumetric output to existing CT, MRI and scanning software.
Molecules, proteins, fluid flows, point clouds, reservoirs and climate models shown as real 3D structures, so interdisciplinary teams agree on what the data shows faster. Networked displays let remote sites see the same volume.
Students gather round molecules, cells, geometry and engineering parts, and see their own code and 3D designs appear in the volume. Compact, glasses-free and driven from an ordinary PC, it suits classrooms, makerspaces and lecture theatres.
Design reviews around one shared model, inspection of internal structure from industrial CT data via DICOM, and stress, flow and thermal simulation results shown in real volume.
A true 3D "digital sand table" for planning, training, briefings and command, fed in real time by simulation and sensor data through the SDK, with no headsets to issue, charge or maintain.
A volumetric display is comparatively low-resolution, so content works best when it leans into that: bold shapes, strong colour and clear motion read far better than fine texture detail. Hide interior points behind the outer surface so solid models do not reveal their insides, keep point density stable as you zoom, and size content from the device bounds so one scene looks right on both NexusVolume models.
