NexusWheel GT 300: overview

The NexusWheel GT 300 is a GT sim racing wheel built on a race-grade carbon fibre structure. A 3D T-300 prepreg carbon front cover (just 43 g, 12-layer compression moulding) interlocks with a one-piece CNC aluminium body, so the wheel weighs only 1150 g with very low inertia and high torsional rigidity – it keeps force feedback detail intact.

A 2.99-inch display shows five telemetry dashboards, and 56 RGB LEDs (8 button lights, 12 RPM LEDs and 36 knob position lights) work with SimHub. Eight modular ErgoTouch buttons (500 g actuation), two ThumbClick knobs, three dual-mode knobs and two joysticks give 110 customisable controls.

Adjustable magnetic paddles offer three pressure settings (550, 660 and 900 gf), the dual clutch paddles support bite point and independent axis modes, and EnduroGrips TPU handles are three times more wear-resistant than standard TPE.

Compatibility

PC via direct USB. Includes a 50/70 mm wired quick release adapter for major third-party 70 mm quick release systems – you need the wheel-side quick release that matches your base.

Software: the maker's configuration app and SimHub.

Building a sim racing or flight setup

Base, rim and pedals. In a modular setup the wheel base holds the force feedback motor, the rim clips on with a quick release and the pedals connect to the base or by USB. Rims and pedals must suit your base, and the base decides which platforms are supported.

Direct drive. Direct drive bases attach the rim straight to the motor for the most detailed and strongest feedback. They need a rigid cockpit or a strong desk mount.

Load cell pedals. A load cell brake measures pressure, not travel, like a real car. It is the single upgrade that improves lap-time consistency the most.

Setup and use

  1. Fit the wheel-side quick release for your base to the 50/70 adapter.
  2. Mount the wheel and connect USB.
  3. Configure dash, LEDs and clutch modes in the software.

Care and maintenance

Wipe grips and carbon with a dry or slightly damp cloth; clean the display with a microfibre.
