1/4" tripod ball head: overview

This tripod ball head lets you aim a VR base station, sensor or tracking camera exactly where you need it. Its 1/4" socket screws onto any tripod or stand with a 1/4" screw, and its own 1/4" screw takes the sensor.

The multi-directional ball head gives precise positioning, which matters for tracking: base stations should look down across the play area at roughly 30–45°.

How to choose the right VR accessory

Check the exact headset model first. VR accessories are rarely universal: straps, facial interfaces, lens protectors and cases are shaped for one headset generation, so a Quest 2 part will not fit a Quest 3. The compatibility section above lists every headset the part is designed for.

Setup and use

1. Screw the ball head onto the tripod.
2. Screw the base station or sensor onto the ball head.
3. Aim it at the centre of the play area and tighten the lock knob.
4. Run room setup.

Care and maintenance

Tighten screws and clamps before each session, check for cracks or slipping, and never exceed the mount's load or clamp range.
