Freestanding monitor stand 1200 mm: overview

This freestanding monitor stand holds a single monitor or TV up to 80 inches in front of your cockpit, on its own legs, so vibration from bass shakers or motion never reaches the screen. The centre profile is 1200 mm wide, which is what lets you later upgrade to three screens of up to 45 inches each instead of the usual 34-inch limit.

It is built from 80x40 mm extruded aluminium with solid brackets, and adjusts in height, leg width and fore-aft position to suit your rig and seating position.

Start with one big screen today and add the optional side arms for triples or a top mount for a fourth screen when you are ready.

Features in detail

1200 mm centre profile

The wide centre section supports triple setups with screens up to 45 inches when you add side arms, compared with 34 inches on narrower stands.

Single to quad

Holds one screen up to 80 inches, and can grow to two, three or four screens with optional add-ons.

Fully adjustable

Height, leg width and fore-aft position all adjust, so the screen ends up at the right eye height and distance.

80x40 aluminium build

Extruded 80x40 mm aluminium with solid brackets is rigid and keeps large screens steady.

Angle adjustment

When configured as a triple or quad stand, the screens can be angled for a correct field of view (extra parts required).

Setting up screens for simulation

Single, triple or VR. A single ultrawide is simple and affordable; three screens give peripheral vision for side-by-side racing; a VR headset gives true depth with no stand at all. Many drivers use screens day to day and VR for immersion.

Distance and field of view. The closer the screens sit to your eyes, the more realistic the field of view. Cockpit-mounted stands move with the rig and keep the distance fixed; freestanding stands keep vibration from bass shakers and motion away from the screens.

Check VESA and weight. Every stand lists the VESA patterns, screen sizes and weight per arm it supports. Curved screens usually need a little more depth on the arms.

Setup and use

1. Assemble the base and legs and set the leg width to fit around or in front of your rig.
2. Mount the centre profile and set the height so the screen's centre is roughly at eye level when seated.
3. Attach the VESA plate (with extension brackets if needed) to the screen and hang it on the stand.
4. Move the stand fore or aft until the screen is as close as comfortable, then tighten everything.
5. Add side arms or a top mount later using the same slots.

Care and maintenance

Check bolts after moving the stand. Wipe the aluminium with a damp cloth. Use cable ties along the profile so screen cables are not pulled when the rig moves.

Large items such as cockpits, seats and monitor stands can ship in several boxes, customs or public holidays can occasionally add a few days, and some items ship directly from our supplier.

Returns

You have 14 days from delivery to return the product for a refund, for any reason. It must be new, unused and in its original packaging with all accessories and documents. Contact us at metanexusxr@gmail.com with your order number to start the return.

Warranty

Products bought from our store are covered by a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. If anything goes wrong, email us your order number and a short description or photo and we will handle the claim with you.
