M8 flange nuts: overview

A set of four M8 flange nuts, used on pedal mounts, wheel mounts and other parts of sim rigs.

The built-in flange spreads the clamping load like a washer and helps resist loosening under vibration.

Keep them as spares or to replace worn nuts.

Who the M8 flange nuts is for

  • Adding or moving accessories

Features in detail

M8 flange nut

The right size for the job.

Spare on hand

Keep a few in your toolbox.

Compatibility

Pedal and wheel mounts on our NexusRig Titan and other cockpits; any M8 bolt.

Mounting on aluminium profile rigs

The 8 mm slot standard. Most modern sim rigs use 40 mm-based aluminium extrusion (40x40, 40x80, 40x160) with 8 mm slots. Mounts fix with M8 bolts and T-nuts that slide into the slot, so they can be moved and re-angled at any time.

Rigidity and access. Mount heavy or high-force devices (handbrakes, shifters, wheel bases) as close to a vertical upright or cross member as possible. Leave room to get in and out of the seat.

Tools. A set of hex keys (mainly 6 mm for M8) covers nearly every mount. Snug every bolt, test, then do a final tightening once the position is right.

Setup and use

  1. Match the part to the fixing you are replacing.
  2. Fit and tighten with a hex key or spanner.

Care and maintenance

Do not overtighten in aluminium.
