Choosing VR locomotion hardware

Why walk in VR? Moving with a joystick while your body stands still is the main cause of VR motion sickness. Omnidirectional treadmills and foot trackers let you walk, run and crouch for real while staying in one spot, so your body and eyes agree and sessions double as exercise.

Treadmill or sensors? Treadmills (with a harness or support arm) give the most natural, safe walking and fit a space of roughly 1–1.5 m across; foot-tracking sensors are cheaper and portable but you walk on the spot. Check which headsets and platforms are supported (SteamVR, Meta Quest with an adapter, or the maker's own store).

Fit and consumables. Treadmills need the right shoes or overshoes, a vest that fits your waist and periodic cleaning and replacement parts; check the user height and weight limits before buying.

Setup and use

1. Power the Nexus.
2. Pair with the KAT device and headset.
3. Check that everything is fitted securely and works as expected before your next session.

Care and maintenance

Keep it clean and dry, store it away from direct sunlight and heat, and inspect it for wear before use. Wipe with a soft, dry microfibre cloth; do not use solvents.

Shipping is free on orders worldwide. Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days and typically arrive within 4–8 business days in total, with tracking sent by email. Customs or public holidays can occasionally add a few days, and some items ship directly from our supplier.

Returns

You have 14 days from delivery to return the product for a refund, for any reason. It must be new, unused and in its original packaging with all accessories and documents. Contact us at metanexusxr@gmail.com with your order number to start the return. Consumables such as face cushions, foam pads or batteries showing wear cannot be refunded.

Warranty

Headsets and original accessories bought from our store are covered by a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. If anything goes wrong, email us your order number and a short description or photo and we will handle the claim with you.
