NexusLink quick release: overview

The NexusLink quick release locks your wheel to a NexusDrive Elite Gen3 base and stays locked. Its polygon-based locking mechanism has infinite contact points for a rock-solid, silent, high-torque connection that does not flex or develop play under rapidly changing forces.

Power and data pass through the quick release with a brushless, contactless and wear-free light-bridge system – no slip rings – so compatible wheels get power and data directly through the QR.

Mounting and removing wheels is quick and easy.

Who the nexusLink quick release is for

NexusDrive Elite Gen3 owners:

  • Drivers swapping between several wheels
  • Anyone who wants a play-free, maintenance-free QR

Features in detail

Polygon-based lock

Ultra-secure, high-torque, play-free connection.

Contactless power and data

Brushless, wear-free transfer with no slip rings.

Silent and maintenance-free

Clean, durable operation.

Easy swaps

Quick to mount and remove wheels.

Compatibility

NexusDrive Elite Gen3 bases (Elite Pro Gen3, Elite Ultimate Gen3).

Wheels with a 70 mm hole pattern (threaded or non-threaded). For formula wheels with a 50.8 mm pattern, a 50.8-to-70 mm adapter is recommended.

Building a sim racing or flight setup

Base, rim and pedals. In a modular setup the wheel base holds the force feedback motor, the rim clips on with a quick release and the pedals connect to the base or by USB. Rims and pedals must suit your base, and the base decides which platforms are supported.

Direct drive. Direct drive bases attach the rim straight to the motor for the most detailed and strongest feedback. They need a rigid cockpit or a strong desk mount.

Load cell pedals. A load cell brake measures pressure, not travel, like a real car. It is the single upgrade that improves lap-time consistency the most.

Setup and use

  1. Fit the base side to your NexusDrive Elite Gen3.
  2. Bolt your wheel to the wheel side (70 mm pattern).
  3. Click the wheel on; power and data connect automatically for compatible wheels.

Care and maintenance

Keep the locking faces clean; no lubrication or maintenance needed.
