Features in detail

2 rear caster wheels

Heavy-duty wheels to move and reposition the rig.

Drink holder

Holds bottles, cups or travel mugs and helps prevent spills.

Headphone hook

Keeps gaming or aviation headsets tidy and protected.

Made for the Compact

Integrates with the NexusRig Compact without affecting rigidity.

Compatibility

Designed specifically for the NexusRig Compact and NexusRig Compact Flight Edition.

Choosing and building a sim rig

Rigidity first. A cockpit exists so the force your wheel base produces goes into your hands, not into a flexing frame. Direct drive bases need a stiff front mount; aluminium profile rigs (40 mm and 80 mm extrusion with 8 mm slots) are the stiffest and most adjustable, while steel tube rigs are lighter and quicker to assemble.

Driving position. GT position puts you upright with the pedals low; formula position reclines the seat and raises the pedals. Check whether the cockpit, seat bracket and pedal mount allow the position you want.

Plan the extras. Monitor stands, shifter and handbrake mounts, keyboard trays and PC shelves bolt onto most profile rigs. Planning them up front avoids drilling or re-assembling later.

Setup and use

1. Bolt the two caster wheels to the rear of the frame.
2. Fit the drink holder and headphone hook where you can reach them.
3. Tilt the rig onto the casters to move it.

Care and maintenance

Keep the casters free of hair and dust; check the bolts occasionally.
