NexusRig Compact Flight Edition: overview

The NexusRig Compact Flight Edition is a flight sim cockpit with seat that also races. It combines our compact steel NexusRig cockpit with a flight sim mount, so you can fit a yoke, HOTAS, throttle quadrant or rudder pedals, then switch back to a wheel and pedals when you want to drive.

The frame extends to fit pilots from 130 cm to 200 cm, the seat reclines between upright and reclined positions, and the steel tubing is tested for direct drive wheel bases up to 25 Nm.

It is a space-saving way to build a dedicated flight and racing simulator for Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane, DCS World and your favourite racing games on PC, PlayStation or Xbox.

Choosing and building a sim rig

Rigidity first. A cockpit exists so the force your wheel base produces goes into your hands, not into a flexing frame. Direct drive bases need a stiff front mount; aluminium profile rigs (40 mm and 80 mm extrusion with 8 mm slots) are the stiffest and most adjustable, while steel tube rigs are lighter and quicker to assemble.

Driving position. GT position puts you upright with the pedals low; formula position reclines the seat and raises the pedals. Check whether the cockpit, seat bracket and pedal mount allow the position you want.

Plan the extras. Monitor stands, shifter and handbrake mounts, keyboard trays and PC shelves bolt onto most profile rigs. Planning them up front avoids drilling or re-assembling later.

Setup and use

1. Assemble the cockpit with the quick-start guide.
2. Set the frame length for the pilot's height and choose the backrest angle.
3. Fit the flight sim mount and attach your yoke or HOTAS; mount rudder pedals on the pedal plate.
4. Adjust heights and reach, tighten everything and calibrate controls in your simulator.
5. For racing, mount the wheel base on the deck and pedals on the plate.

Care and maintenance

Check bolts after the first week and then monthly. Wipe the frame with a damp cloth; clean the seat with mild soap and a soft brush on suede. Use the included ties to keep control cables tidy.

Shipping, returns and warranty

Shipping

Shipping is free on orders worldwide. Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days and typically arrive within 4–8 business days in total, with tracking sent by email. Large items such as cockpits, seats and monitor stands can ship in several boxes, customs or public holidays can occasionally add a few days, and some items ship directly from our supplier.

Returns

You have 14 days from delivery to return the product for a refund, for any reason. It must be new, unused and in its original packaging with all accessories and documents. Contact us at metanexusxr@gmail.com with your order number to start the return.

Warranty

Products bought from our store are covered by a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. If anything goes wrong, email us your order number and a short description or photo and we will handle the claim with you.
