NexusRig Vanguard: overview

The NexusRig Vanguard is a motion-ready aluminium sim racing cockpit with a signature curved, wide-body design in 120x40 mm profile – distinctive looks with serious rigidity.

Thicker profile walls, heavier-duty brackets and side-mounted wheel uprights keep the wheel solid with high-torque direct drive. It is NexusMount compatible and includes seat slider rails.

The pedal area withstands hundreds of kilograms of braking force, with a pre-drilled sliding plate, profile mount with heel plate or hybrid plate, and more than 30 add-ons let it grow.

Who the nexusRig Vanguard is for

Serious sim racers:

Compatibility

Wheel bases: any major direct drive or belt-drive base via the NexusMount system plates (Simucube, Simagic, Fanatec, MOZA, Asetek, VRS, VNM, Logitech, Thrustmaster).

Pedals: pre-drilled plate, profile mount with heel plate or hybrid plate options for the major brands, including inverted pedals.

Shifters and handbrakes: the Gen 2 shifter mount takes a very wide range of shifters; handbrake mounts add on directly.

Seats: bucket seats with side brackets or recliners with seat brackets (seat not included).

Choosing and building a sim rig

Rigidity first. A cockpit exists so the force your wheel base produces goes into your hands, not into a flexing frame. Direct drive bases need a stiff front mount; aluminium profile rigs (40 mm and 80 mm extrusion with 8 mm slots) are the stiffest and most adjustable, while steel tube rigs are lighter and quicker to assemble.

Driving position. GT position puts you upright with the pedals low; formula position reclines the seat and raises the pedals. Check whether the cockpit, seat bracket and pedal mount allow the position you want.

Plan the extras. Monitor stands, shifter and handbrake mounts, keyboard trays and PC shelves bolt onto most profile rigs. Planning them up front avoids drilling or re-assembling later.

Setup and use

  1. Assemble the chassis with the included hardware.
  2. Fit the seat slider rails, then your seat with brackets.
  3. Install the NexusMount wheel system, your base and pedals.
  4. Fit the shifter and set the driving position.

Care and maintenance

Check bolts after the first week and then monthly. Wipe the profile with a damp cloth; keep T-slots clean.
