Universal PC Shelf for Aluminium Sim Rigs & Monitor Stands – Oversized V2, Folded Steel

Universal PC shelf (oversized V2): overview

This oversized V2 shelf mounts your PC directly on an aluminium profile cockpit or monitor stand – elevated, accessible and protected during intense sessions.

The folded steel plate (660 x 300 mm) has edge folds that stop the PC sliding off, and slots for optional straps. It holds most mid and full-size towers.

Universal brackets fit wide or narrow mounting points, so it can go on the wheel uprights, beside the seat, or on the back or side of a monitor stand.

Who the universal PC shelf (oversized V2) is for

Aluminium rig owners:

• Triple monitor stand setups
• Commercial and home simulators
• Anyone tidying cables

Features in detail

Many mounting positions.

Extra security.

Better airflow

PC off the floor.

Compatibility

Our aluminium profile cockpits (NexusRig Fortress, Formula Hybrid, Titan, Vanguard, Sprint, Rookie) and other 8 mm T-slot extrusion rigs, plus aluminium triple monitor stands.

Mounting on aluminium profile rigs

The 8 mm slot standard. Most modern sim rigs use 40 mm-based aluminium extrusion (40x40, 40x80, 40x160) with 8 mm slots. Mounts fix with M8 bolts and T-nuts that slide into the slot, so they can be moved and re-angled at any time.

Rigidity and access. Mount heavy or high-force devices (handbrakes, shifters, wheel bases) as close to a vertical upright or cross member as possible. Leave room to get in and out of the seat.

Tools. A set of hex keys (mainly 6 mm for M8) covers nearly every mount. Snug every bolt, test, then do a final tightening once the position is right.

Setup and use

1. Choose the mounting position.
2. Fit the brackets wide or narrow.
3. Bolt on the shelf and strap the PC.

Care and maintenance

Check bolts regularly; leave space for airflow.
