Compact seat slider kit: overview

This compact seat slider kit lets you move your seat forward and back to dial in the perfect distance to the wheel, pedals or flight controls. Its low-profile rails and small adjustment handle are made for tight cockpits where a normal slider handle would hit something.

That makes it ideal for flight sim cockpits with a centre-mounted joystick, compact racing rigs and any build where the area around the seat rail is crowded with brackets, pedal plates or accessories.

Steel rails and a single locking pin hold the seat firmly once it is set.

Who the compact seat slider kit is for

Anyone who shares a rig or needs fine seat adjustment:

  • Flight simmers with a centre stick
  • Compact sim racing cockpits
  • Families sharing one rig
  • Truck, farming and motion simulator builds
  • Custom seat mounting projects

Features in detail

Low-profile rails

A compact rail system that fits where standard sliders do not.

Small adjustment handle

Avoids clashing with flight sticks, wheels, pedal plates and centre-mounted controls.

Single locking pin

Holds the seat firmly once adjusted front to back.

Steel construction

Durable under repeated adjustment and daily use.

Universal fit

Suits aluminium profile rigs, tubular frames and custom seat mounts.

Compatibility

Fits our tube-frame cockpits (NexusRig Classic, Apex, Velocity, Velocity Carbon, GT Hybrid) and aluminium profile cockpits (Fortress, Formula Hybrid, Titan, Vanguard, Sprint, Rookie, NexusHaul), as well as most third-party extrusion and tube rigs – compare the hole spacing with your seat mount.

Works with bucket seats, recliners and flight seats that bottom-mount to rails.

Choosing and building a sim rig

Rigidity first. A cockpit exists so the force your wheel base produces goes into your hands, not into a flexing frame. Direct drive bases need a stiff front mount; aluminium profile rigs (40 mm and 80 mm extrusion with 8 mm slots) are the stiffest and most adjustable, while steel tube rigs are lighter and quicker to assemble.

Driving position. GT position puts you upright with the pedals low; formula position reclines the seat and raises the pedals. Check whether the cockpit, seat bracket and pedal mount allow the position you want.

Plan the extras. Monitor stands, shifter and handbrake mounts, keyboard trays and PC shelves bolt onto most profile rigs. Planning them up front avoids drilling or re-assembling later.

Setup and use

  1. Bolt the rails to the underside of the seat or seat brackets.
  2. Fix the rails to the cockpit's seat mount.
  3. Check the handle is clear of controls and pedals.
  4. Slide to your position and let the pin lock.

Care and maintenance

Keep the rails free of dust and debris; a light dry lubricant helps smooth sliding. Check the fixing bolts occasionally.
