Motion actuator mounting brackets: overview

These mounting brackets fix our pro haptic motion actuators (1.5-inch stroke) to an aluminium profile cockpit. They are the link between the actuator and the rig, so the motion system moves the whole cockpit cleanly and safely.

Each bracket is supplied with all the fixings you need for 8 mm slot profile: M8 and M6 screws, flat washers and ball-bearing T-nuts.

Use them when adding motion to an existing profile rig or replacing brackets.

Adding motion and haptics to a rig

Haptics vs motion. Bass shakers turn engine, road and kerb effects into vibration you feel through the seat and pedals. Motion actuators physically move the rig to simulate pitch, roll and heave. Both add information that helps you feel grip.

Power and software. Shakers need an amplifier and a telemetry app such as SimHub; motion systems come with their own controller and software profiles for each game.

Isolation. Keep screens on a freestanding stand and use isolation feet so vibration and motion stay in the rig and not in the floor or the monitors.

Setup and use

1. Lift the rig safely and plan the actuator positions (usually near the corners).
2. Slide the ball-bearing T-nuts into the profile slots and fit the bracket with the M8 screws and washers.
3. Attach the actuator to the bracket with the M6 screws and washers.
4. Lower the rig and test the motion system at low intensity first.

Care and maintenance

Check all bracket bolts regularly – motion puts repeated loads through them.

Shipping is free on orders worldwide. Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days and typically arrive within 4–8 business days in total, with tracking sent by email. Large items such as cockpits, seats and monitor stands can ship in several boxes, customs or public holidays can occasionally add a few days, and some items ship directly from our supplier.

Returns

You have 14 days from delivery to return the product for a refund, for any reason. It must be new, unused and in its original packaging with all accessories and documents. Contact us at metanexusxr@gmail.com with your order number to start the return.

Warranty

Products bought from our store are covered by a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. If anything goes wrong, email us your order number and a short description or photo and we will handle the claim with you.
