NexusMount universal handbrake mount: overview

This universal handbrake mount fixes a handbrake on the left or right side of any aluminium profile rig with 8 mm T-slots – part of our modular NexusMount system, so you only replace the part you need.

It can also bolt directly to a Gen 2 shifter mount for a combined shifter-and-handbrake setup.

A rigid single-piece bracket gives a firm, flex-free feel, and adjustable mounting points let you set the reach.

Compatibility

Rigs: our aluminium profile cockpits (NexusRig Fortress, Formula Hybrid, Titan, Vanguard, Sprint, Rookie, NexusHaul) and other extrusion rigs. On the NexusRig Rookie, Sprint and Vanguard we recommend adding an extra profile support for strength.

Mounting on aluminium profile rigs

The 8 mm slot standard. Most modern sim rigs use 40 mm-based aluminium extrusion (40x40, 40x80, 40x160) with 8 mm slots. Mounts fix with M8 bolts and T-nuts that slide into the slot, so they can be moved and re-angled at any time.

Rigidity and access. Mount heavy or high-force devices (handbrakes, shifters, wheel bases) as close to a vertical upright or cross member as possible. Leave room to get in and out of the seat.

Tools. A set of hex keys (mainly 6 mm for M8) covers nearly every mount. Snug every bolt, test, then do a final tightening once the position is right.

Setup and use

1. Fix the mount to the profile (or to a Gen 2 shifter mount).
2. Bolt on your handbrake.
3. Adjust the reach and tighten.

Care and maintenance

Check bolts regularly under hard pulls.

Shipping

Shipping is free on orders worldwide. Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days and typically arrive within 4–8 business days in total, with tracking sent by email. Large items such as cockpits, seats and monitor stands can ship in several boxes, customs or public holidays can occasionally add a few days, and some items ship directly from our supplier.

Returns

You have 14 days from delivery to return the product for a refund, for any reason. It must be new, unused and in its original packaging with all accessories and documents. Contact us at metanexusxr@gmail.com with your order number to start the return.

Warranty

Products bought from our store are covered by a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. If anything goes wrong, email us your order number and a short description or photo and we will handle the claim with you.
