Sim Racing Handbrake Mount – Left or Right Side Bracket for Tube & Profile Rigs

$135.00

In Stock — Ready to Ship

This sim racing handbrake mount puts your handbrake exactly where a rally or drift car has it: beside your hip, at the height and distance that feels natural when you pull it mid-corner. It was designed for our NexusRig Velocity tube cockpit and, because it fixes with the 8 mm T-slot standard, it also bolts to aluminium profile rigs.

  • Left or right mounting — The bracket fits either side of the chassis. Mount it on the right for a classic left-hand-drive rally layout or on the left if you drive right-hand-drive cars, and swap later if you change your mind.
  • Solid single-piece bracket — There are no hinged joints or thin tabs to bend. A one-piece bracket gives a firm, flex-free feel, which matters most with load cell and hydraulic handbrakes that respond to pressure.
  • Adjustable mounting points — Several fixing positions let you move the handbrake forward, back, up or down, so the lever ends up within easy reach of your hand without stretching or hitting your knee.
  • 8 mm T-slot fitment — The fixing pattern matches standard 8 mm slot aluminium extrusion, which is why the same mount also fits many profile cockpits beyond the one it was designed for.

Sim racing handbrake mount: overview

This sim racing handbrake mount puts your handbrake exactly where a rally or drift car has it: beside your hip, at the height and distance that feels natural when you pull it mid-corner. It was designed for our NexusRig Velocity tube cockpit and, because it fixes with the 8 mm T-slot standard, it also bolts to aluminium profile rigs.

A handbrake only works if it does not move. A load cell or hydraulic handbrake can take a hard pull, and any flex in the mount turns that into a vague, inconsistent input. This bracket is a single solid piece, so the force you put into the lever goes into the sensor, not into a wobbling plate.

It mounts on either side of the chassis, so left-hand and right-hand drive setups are both covered, and the adjustable mounting points let you fine-tune reach and angle before the final tightening.

Who the sim racing handbrake mount is for

Drivers who want a firm, repeatable handbrake position on their rig:

  • Rally, rallycross and drift sim racers (EA Sports WRC, Dirt Rally 2.0, Assetto Corsa drift servers)
  • Owners of a NexusRig Velocity, GT Hybrid or one of our aluminium profile cockpits
  • Anyone moving a handbrake off a desk clamp and onto a proper cockpit
  • Left-hand or right-hand drive setups

Features in detail

Left or right mounting

The bracket fits either side of the chassis. Mount it on the right for a classic left-hand-drive rally layout or on the left if you drive right-hand-drive cars, and swap later if you change your mind.

Solid single-piece bracket

There are no hinged joints or thin tabs to bend. A one-piece bracket gives a firm, flex-free feel, which matters most with load cell and hydraulic handbrakes that respond to pressure.

Adjustable mounting points

Several fixing positions let you move the handbrake forward, back, up or down, so the lever ends up within easy reach of your hand without stretching or hitting your knee.

8 mm T-slot fitment

The fixing pattern matches standard 8 mm slot aluminium extrusion, which is why the same mount also fits many profile cockpits beyond the one it was designed for.

Matte black finish

A clean matte black paint that matches dark cockpit frames and resists fingerprints.

Compatibility

Cockpits: designed for the NexusRig Velocity (all colourways), NexusRig Velocity Carbon and NexusRig GT Hybrid tube frames. It also fits our aluminium profile cockpits (NexusRig Fortress, Formula Hybrid, Titan, Vanguard, Sprint, Rookie and the NexusHaul Truck Simulator) and other 8 mm T-slot extrusion rigs. Check the slot size of third-party rigs before ordering.

Handbrakes: fits most popular sim handbrakes, including Fanatec ClubSport Handbrake V1.5 and V2, Heusinkveld Handbrake, Simagic TB-1 and TB-RS, Conspit H3, VNM Handbrake V1.5, MOZA HBP, Asetek Forte, Thrustmaster TSS and TSS+, Logitech G RS Shifter and Handbrake, Aiologs, BJ Sim Racing 2.0, Cammus, DSD, Ghost Sim Racing, Meca, Prosim, PXN HB S, Quaife, RealGear RALLYpro, SG Racing, Sim Coaches P1 PRO, SimDT, Sim-Lab XB-1, Simnet SHB-100, Simsonn, SimJack, Simworx Pro Series, SRP HB Pneumatic and Venym Atrax Black.

If your handbrake or rig is not listed, email us the model before ordering and we will confirm the fit.

Mounting on aluminium profile rigs

The 8 mm slot standard. Most modern sim rigs use 40 mm-based aluminium extrusion (40x40, 40x80, 40x160) with 8 mm slots. Mounts fix with M8 bolts and T-nuts that slide into the slot, so they can be moved and re-angled at any time.

Rigidity and access. Mount heavy or high-force devices (handbrakes, shifters, wheel bases) as close to a vertical upright or cross member as possible. Leave room to get in and out of the seat.

Tools. A set of hex keys (mainly 6 mm for M8) covers nearly every mount. Snug every bolt, test, then do a final tightening once the position is right.

Setup and use

  1. Decide which side you want the handbrake on and roughly where your hand falls when you drop it from the wheel.
  2. Slide T-nuts into the chassis slot (on profile rigs) or line the bracket up with the frame fixing points (on tube rigs).
  3. Bolt the mount on loosely, fit the handbrake to the bracket and sit in the seat to test the reach.
  4. Adjust height and fore-aft position until a full pull feels natural, then tighten every bolt firmly.
  5. Calibrate the handbrake in its own software or in your game's controller settings.

Care and maintenance

Re-check the bolts after the first few sessions, because a handbrake takes repeated hard pulls and fixings can settle. Wipe the paint with a dry or slightly damp cloth; avoid solvents. If you move the rig, check the mount has not been knocked out of position.
