NexusMount 2-Way Universal Base-Mount Wheel Kit: overview

This NexusMount universal base-mount wheel kit fixes a direct drive or belt-drive wheel base from underneath, which makes it the most versatile mount in the system – it supports one of the widest ranges of wheel bases on the market.

Its core is a patent-pending 2-way 120x40 mm aerospace-grade aluminium channel. Install it vertically to maximise leg and knee clearance – ideal for formula positions and compact rigs – or horizontally to gain mounting space for dashboards, button boxes, keyboards and telemetry displays.

With a total wheel mount width of 580 mm, it integrates with our aluminium profile cockpits and many other brands' rigs, and because it is part of the NexusMount system, changing wheel base later means changing a plate, not the whole mount.

Building a sim racing or flight setup

Base, rim and pedals. In a modular setup the wheel base holds the force feedback motor, the rim clips on with a quick release and the pedals connect to the base or by USB. Rims and pedals must suit your base, and the base decides which platforms are supported.

Direct drive. Direct drive bases attach the rim straight to the motor for the most detailed and strongest feedback. They need a rigid cockpit or a strong desk mount.

Load cell pedals. A load cell brake measures pressure, not travel, like a real car. It is the single upgrade that improves lap-time consistency the most.

Setup and use

1. Choose vertical (leg clearance) or horizontal (accessory space) for the 120x40 channel.
2. Fix the kit to your cockpit's front uprights (580 mm total width).
3. Mount your wheel base on the plate.
4. Set height, reach and angle, then tighten all bolts.

Care and maintenance

Check bolts after the first sessions and monthly with high torque. Wipe the aluminium with a damp cloth.

Shipping

Shipping is free on orders worldwide. Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days and typically arrive within 4–8 business days in total, with tracking sent by email. Large items such as cockpits, seats and monitor stands can ship in several boxes, customs or public holidays can occasionally add a few days, and some items ship directly from our supplier.

Returns

You have 14 days from delivery to return the product for a refund, for any reason. It must be new, unused and in its original packaging with all accessories and documents. Contact us at metanexusxr@gmail.com with your order number to start the return.

Warranty

Products bought from our store are covered by a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. If anything goes wrong, email us your order number and a short description or photo and we will handle the claim with you.
