NexusMount 2-way side-mount wheel kit: overview

This NexusMount wheel base side mount kit is built for our side-mounted NexusDrive DD direct drive bases (DD9 Sport, DD12, DD18 Pro). It gives the base a rigid, flex-free home on an aluminium profile cockpit so every detail of the force feedback reaches your hands.

Its core is a 120x40 mm aluminium mounting channel that installs in two ways. Vertical maximises leg and knee clearance – ideal for formula positions and compact rigs. Horizontal gives you extra mounting space for dashboards, button boxes, keyboards and displays.

At 580 mm total width it integrates with our aluminium profile cockpits and many other brands' rigs.

Compatibility

Wheel bases: our side-mounted NexusDrive DD9 Sport, DD12 and DD18 Pro direct drive bases. If you own a different side-mount base, email us its model and we will check the bolt pattern.

Cockpits: our aluminium profile cockpits (NexusRig Fortress, Formula Hybrid, Titan, Vanguard, Sprint, Rookie, NexusHaul) and most other extrusion rigs with a 580 mm wheel mount width – check your rig's dimensions.

Building a sim racing or flight setup

Base, rim and pedals. In a modular setup the wheel base holds the force feedback motor, the rim clips on with a quick release and the pedals connect to the base or by USB. Rims and pedals must suit your base, and the base decides which platforms are supported.

Direct drive. Direct drive bases attach the rim straight to the motor for the most detailed and strongest feedback. They need a rigid cockpit or a strong desk mount.

Load cell pedals. A load cell brake measures pressure, not travel, like a real car. It is the single upgrade that improves lap-time consistency the most.

Setup and use

1. Decide on vertical (leg clearance) or horizontal (accessory space) channel orientation.
2. Fix the kit to the cockpit's uprights at the width of 580 mm.
3. Side-mount the wheel base to the channel.
4. Set height, angle and reach, then tighten all bolts.

Care and maintenance

Check bolts after the first sessions and monthly with high torque. Wipe the aluminium with a damp cloth.

Shipping

Shipping is free on orders worldwide. Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days and typically arrive within 4–8 business days in total, with tracking sent by email. Large items such as cockpits, seats and monitor stands can ship in several boxes, customs or public holidays can occasionally add a few days, and some items ship directly from our supplier.

Returns

You have 14 days from delivery to return the product for a refund, for any reason. It must be new, unused and in its original packaging with all accessories and documents. Contact us at metanexusxr@gmail.com with your order number to start the return.

Warranty

Products bought from our store are covered by a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. If anything goes wrong, email us your order number and a short description or photo and we will handle the claim with you.
