NexusSeat GT fibreglass bucket seat: overview

The NexusSeat GT is a fixed-back fibreglass racing seat for sim rigs that locks you into a proper GT driving position. The ultra-rigid shell does not flex, the deep side bolsters hold you under braking and through fast direction changes, and the result is a body position you can repeat every session.

That consistency is what serious hardware needs: direct drive wheel bases, load cell pedals and motion platforms all respond to small movements, so the seat must not move or squash under you.

Choose it as seat only, or with brackets if your cockpit needs them. Seat sliders for fore-aft adjustment are sold separately.

Ultra-rigid fibreglass shell

Choosing and building a sim rig

Rigidity first. A cockpit exists so the force your wheel base produces goes into your hands, not into a flexing frame. Direct drive bases need a stiff front mount; aluminium profile rigs (40 mm and 80 mm extrusion with 8 mm slots) are the stiffest and most adjustable, while steel tube rigs are lighter and quicker to assemble.

Driving position. GT position puts you upright with the pedals low; formula position reclines the seat and raises the pedals. Check whether the cockpit, seat bracket and pedal mount allow the position you want.

Plan the extras. Monitor stands, shifter and handbrake mounts, keyboard trays and PC shelves bolt onto most profile rigs. Planning them up front avoids drilling or re-assembling later.

Setup and use

1. Choose 'seat with brackets' if your cockpit has no side brackets for a bucket seat.
2. Bolt the brackets to the seat's side mounting points.
3. Fix the brackets to the cockpit seat mount (or to seat sliders if you use them).
4. Sit in, check your distance to the wheel and pedals, and adjust before final tightening.

Care and maintenance

Wipe the coated surfaces with a damp cloth and mild soap. Keep sharp objects off the upholstery and check the bracket bolts every few weeks, especially on motion rigs.

Shipping is free on orders worldwide. Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days and typically arrive within 4–8 business days in total, with tracking sent by email. Large items such as cockpits, seats and monitor stands can ship in several boxes, customs or public holidays can occasionally add a few days, and some items ship directly from our supplier.

Returns

You have 14 days from delivery to return the product for a refund, for any reason. It must be new, unused and in its original packaging with all accessories and documents. Contact us at metanexusxr@gmail.com with your order number to start the return.

Warranty

Products bought from our store are covered by a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. If anything goes wrong, email us your order number and a short description or photo and we will handle the claim with you.
