NexusSeat Hybrid Formula Carbon: overview

The NexusSeat Hybrid Formula Carbon is our dry carbon fibre hybrid seat, co-developed with motorsport engineers for the extreme demands of formula and GT positions. An aggressive recline gives a true single-seater feel, and it also adapts to an upright GT stance.

The genuine carbon shell is extremely rigid and light, so it stays still under direct drive torque, heavy braking and motion.

Removable, Velcro-adjustable cushion pads and a repositionable headrest let every driver fine-tune the fit, and integrated harness slots accept a range of racing harnesses.

Compatibility

Side mount with M8 bolts at 29.5 mm spacing: fits our tube cockpits (NexusRig Classic, Apex, Velocity, Velocity Carbon, GT Hybrid) and aluminium profile cockpits (Fortress, Formula Hybrid, Titan, Vanguard, Sprint, Rookie, NexusHaul), plus most third-party rigs. Seat sliders sold separately.

Motion: D-BOX, Sigma Integrale and Qubic System setups, depending on cockpit and platform.

Choosing and building a sim rig

Rigidity first. A cockpit exists so the force your wheel base produces goes into your hands, not into a flexing frame. Direct drive bases need a stiff front mount; aluminium profile rigs (40 mm and 80 mm extrusion with 8 mm slots) are the stiffest and most adjustable, while steel tube rigs are lighter and quicker to assemble.

Driving position. GT position puts you upright with the pedals low; formula position reclines the seat and raises the pedals. Check whether the cockpit, seat bracket and pedal mount allow the position you want.

Plan the extras. Monitor stands, shifter and handbrake mounts, keyboard trays and PC shelves bolt onto most profile rigs. Planning them up front avoids drilling or re-assembling later.

Setup and use

1. Choose 'seat with brackets' if your cockpit has no side brackets.
2. Fit the brackets (M8, 29.5 mm spacing).
3. Bolt the seat to the cockpit or sliders, check your position and tighten.

Care and maintenance

Wipe the shell with a soft damp cloth; clean upholstery with a damp cloth and mild soap. Check bracket bolts regularly on motion rigs. Simulation use only.

Shipping, returns and warranty

Shipping

Shipping is free on orders worldwide. Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days and typically arrive within 4–8 business days in total, with tracking sent by email. Large items such as cockpits, seats and monitor stands can ship in several boxes, customs or public holidays can occasionally add a few days, and some items ship directly from our supplier.

Returns

You have 14 days from delivery to return the product for a refund, for any reason. It must be new, unused and in its original packaging with all accessories and documents. Contact us at metanexusxr@gmail.com with your order number to start the return.

Warranty

Products bought from our store are covered by a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. If anything goes wrong, email us your order number and a short description or photo and we will handle the claim with you.
