USB LED Strip Ambient Light Kit for Sim Rigs – 2 x 2 m Strips with 1 m USB Cables

USB LED strip ambient light kit: overview

Add ambient lighting to your cockpit with two USB-powered LED strip kits. Each has a 2 m LED strip and a 1 m USB cable – 3 m of usable length per strip.

Light up under the seat, under the wheel deck, behind the monitors or along the profile rails for a more immersive, stream-ready setup.

Adhesive backing makes installation quick on aluminium profile, desks and monitor frames, and they run from any PC USB port, power bank or hub.

Features in detail

2 m strip + 1 m cable each.

USB powered

PC port, power bank or hub.

Adhesive backing

Fast mounting.

Flexible use

Seat, wheel deck, monitors, rails, PC or desk.

Compatibility

Works with all our cockpits, most aluminium rigs and non-sim setups. Requires a USB power source.

Choosing and building a sim rig

Rigidity first. A cockpit exists so the force your wheel base produces goes into your hands, not into a flexing frame. Direct drive bases need a stiff front mount; aluminium profile rigs (40 mm and 80 mm extrusion with 8 mm slots) are the stiffest and most adjustable, while steel tube rigs are lighter and quicker to assemble.

Driving position. GT position puts you upright with the pedals low; formula position reclines the seat and raises the pedals. Check whether the cockpit, seat bracket and pedal mount allow the position you want.

Plan the extras. Monitor stands, shifter and handbrake mounts, keyboard trays and PC shelves bolt onto most profile rigs. Planning them up front avoids drilling or re-assembling later.

Setup and use

1. Clean the surface.
2. Stick the strips where you want them.
3. Plug into USB.

Care and maintenance

Avoid bending strips sharply; keep away from liquids.
