5-Speaker Mount Kit for NexusRig Apex – Surround Sound Speaker Brackets for Sim Rigs

5-speaker mount kit for NexusRig Apex: overview

This kit mounts five speakers directly around your NexusRig Apex cockpit, so positional audio – engines beside you, tyres behind, the co-driver in front – moves with the rig.

The laser-cut steel brackets are lightweight, painted matte black and adjustable for custom speaker placement.

They fit most speakers with a wall mount on the back; speakers without one can be fixed with double-sided tape.

Who the 5-speaker mount kit for NexusRig Apex is for

NexusRig Apex owners:

• Drivers who prefer speakers to headphones
• Racing and flight sim setups with 5.1 audio

Mounting on aluminium profile rigs

The 8 mm slot standard. Most modern sim rigs use 40 mm-based aluminium extrusion (40x40, 40x80, 40x160) with 8 mm slots. Mounts fix with M8 bolts and T-nuts that slide into the slot, so they can be moved and re-angled at any time.

Rigidity and access. Mount heavy or high-force devices (handbrakes, shifters, wheel bases) as close to a vertical upright or cross member as possible. Leave room to get in and out of the seat.

Tools. A set of hex keys (mainly 6 mm for M8) covers nearly every mount. Snug every bolt, test, then do a final tightening once the position is right.

Setup and use

1. Fit the brackets to the Apex frame.
2. Attach your speakers.
3. Route cables along the frame.

Care and maintenance

Check bracket bolts occasionally.
